About Us

The foundation of Fiat Lux Academe of General Trias, Inc. was born from the visionary mind of Dr. Sonia Salazar-Caing, an admired educator and proud alumna of the National Teachers College-Manila. With her commitment to empowering young minds, she envisioned an institution that would not only teach but nurture and transform lives; one that would light the path for generations to come.

In 2000, this vision took form in Grand Riverside Subdivision in Barangay Pasong Camachile 1, General Trias City, Cavite, with the establishment of Fiat Lux Academe of General Trias, Inc. (formerly known Academia De Savio, Inc.). Under the leadership of Dr. Sonia Salazar-Caing and with the full support of her husband, Mr. Perfecto Cabalfin Caing, this humble beginning became a vibrant educational haven—nurturing potential, sparking curiosity, and responding to the growing demand for quality, values-driven education.

Building on this success, what began in a modest 70-square-meter facility with just 25 pupils would soon become a cornerstone of academic excellence in the City. With each passing year, the institution flourished—guided by its mission to cultivate a generation of learners equipped with 21st-century skills, strong moral character, and a global mindset.

In response to the evolving needs of the community, Fiat Lux Academe expanded its offerings to deliver a full basic education course, encompassing Pre-School, Grade School, Junior High School, and Senior High School.

The academe was granted Government Recognition No. K-072, s.2002 for Pre-Grade School, Government Recognition No. E-029, s.2003 for Grade School, Government Recognition No.10, s.2003 for Junior High  School and Government Permit to Operate for Senior High School. Fully recognized and accredited by the Department of Education, and certified by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) for quality education and services, Fiat Lux Academe stands today as a beacon of credibility, trust, and transformation.

Anchored in its namesake—"Fiat Lux," the Latin phrase meaning "Let There Be Light"—the academe’s philosophy radiates through its core values embodied in the FLAMBEAU: Faith in God, Living with a Purpose, Aiming High, Multifaceted Learning, Benevolent Character, Environmental Awareness, Authentic Citizenship, and Unprecedented Excellence. These principles serve as the guiding light for every learner, educator, and leader within its community.

From humble beginnings to becoming a promising learning institution in Cavite, Fiat Lux Academe of Gen. Trias, Inc. has remained firm in its commitment to holistic development and academic distinction.
